I'm looking at going to Sanya in a few months with China Southern, flying BHX-AMS-CAN-SYX, returning SYX-PEK-AMS-BHX. I've been on the China Southern site to look for tickets and the connection time on the return leg at PEK is only 90 minutes. According to the China Southern website, the MCT is 100 minutes, yet they have the flight on sale on there. I'm not an experienced traveller (as you can tell!), but I'm wondering what the situation would be if I miss the connecting flight at PEK due to the tightness of the connection? Would I left to pay for another flight, or would China Southern put me on the next flight as they had arranged such a tight connection?

I have contacted China Southern about this, but am awaiting a reply, so am hoping hoping that the experienced folk on here could help me out.
