I told them that is impossible, as I have had breakfast with my wife as a Platinum amenity at more than 20 Starwood hotels (Le Meridiens, Sheratons and Westins, but never a Four Points) and this was the first hotel to raise that it was only for one. They said that they would give me a second coupon because I am such a "nice" guest, but I also called the SPG Platinum line while waiting. The woman I spoke with said that she needed to check (which surprised me, as I thought this was clear). She came back and said that her supervisor told her it is a matter of policy of the individual hotel. Meanwhile, the other desk agent said that it is also only for one morning, so that if you have a 5 night stay you only get one breakfast. I told her that is definitely not the case. I was surprised about the ignorance on this issue, and also the lack of clarity on the first issue.
Thanks for letting us know. The SPG Hotel Coordinators contacted the property and spoke to the GM and he assures us that there will not be a repeat of this going forward.
