Phony "Espresso" In Sky Clubs - Kind of McDonalds-like

I know in the grand scheme of Delta lies this is not a big one.

But, every time I'm in a Sky Club and push the button on the Douwe Egbert's coffee machine and get plain old non-espresso coffee I think to myself "why do they lie about something as inconsequential as this?"

Reminds me of trying to get Espresso in a US McDonalds, an off menu item they can make if they know how (strangely, in every other country that I have been in where there is a McCafe in McDonalds (including Canada) espresso is on the menu).

Here's the dialog:

Me (after being handed a jumbo black coffee in which the server may or may not have added an espresso shot): I'm sorry, that's not an espresso, it is supposed to be made like a cappuccino but just the coffee, no milk or cream

Server: That's the way we make it here.
