Thanks mia. Excellent thread! I'm still trying to decide if the Plat is worth it, over the Costco AmEx (I need one AmEx as I shop a lot at Costco...) So the annual fee is really only $250 since you get a no strings attached $200 travel voucher?

I do fly a lot on United, which I know is not good for AMEX... my sapphire preferred card gives 2x points for travel too. I mainly fly internationally, so airport lounge access is included without needing the card, and domestic lounges suck anyway. Hrm, any other good benefit that I'm missing? I use a virtuoso travel advisor, so I get the FHR benefits when I stay at hotels...
