It's different than for exampe LX14 that is a LX flight and operated by WK...
As I said: it's a technicality and open to linguistic discussion. Edelweiss is flying to Tokyo and LX is selling seats... obviously LX is not flying for Edelweiss in that scenario.
It's a real shame that customers are supposed to know that you might get miles with two/three digit LX flight numbers operated by Edelweiss but might not for four digit flight numbers operated by Edelweiss. But informing customers has always been taking a back seat with Miles&More. The less they know the better.
