Thanks for that! Works like a charm just put in the NZ ref # and was able to select the seats O.K. Glad I did as they were filling up but still a managed to get a seat up front!
It even works with the iPhone United airways app.
(The NZ ref # must be linked to a UA ref #, as there is a whole separate itinerary with a UA number on their system.)
