Sometimes if you can stay near a speaker phone, you get through to a call center faster than the recording said you would. Maybe the estimate is deliberately worse than it proves to be because they want to encourage folks with nonurgent matters to try again the next day or maybe a lot of people really do this, so that the queue goes down.
