I left an expensive sportcoat on a United Express plane from STL to ORD last week. I filled out the online form but don't have much hope of ever seeing it again. Funny thing is that it has my name SEWN into the liner plainly visible when you look inside the jacket so there really is no doubt whose it is. I pass through ORD 1-2x/week so I would ask in person if I could figure out where to ask. Any ideas?
Good luck. Unless things have changed in the last few months, everything is sent to a warehouse in Houston where there aren't enough staff to even catalog what comes in, let alone try to reunite it with owners. I went there in search of a lost item and was stunned at the volume of stuff there. They were very nice, but there's no way their "system" can keep up with what they get. Mine was apparently stolen before it ever got there.
