I just priced one in June for $1297 - don't think it would be much cheaper if you did it in two tickets. A Tango fare though, so 50% miles only.

You won't get this AC online, but you can call your TA or AC directly to book.
Exact routing I booked

YYZ-HKG on AC
HKG-TPE on KA(Operated by CX)
TPE-NRT on BR
NRT-YYZ on AC

It' $1700 for me since im departing June 19 and returning Aug15
