Hmm, I guess just because it says K class on UA's site when you book doesn't necessarily mean it will book into that class on LH or LX. I would suggest complete a booking on UA, wait for the confirmation email, go to LH or LX to look up your booking there (using the "other confirmation numbers" link on your booking information on UA's site to get the codeshare's confirmation number), and then check your fare class with them. If the fare class on the codeshare is one that is listed on UA's site as a class that accrues miles then I think you would be okay. You can always cancel with 24 hours so there's no risk.
I would do it myself but I already booked and canceled a booking after realizing the K problem without stopping to think I should check with the codeshare to confirm the class.
