The first invoice said I had returned the car at the airport and even charged me for fuel.
The weird thing is I never returned the car, didn't even go to the airport, I still have it. I am wondering how can they generate an invoice, and charge me, based on totally wrong information.
For some reason, I never get an alert when AVIS charges my credit card. I do not know how they do it, I get notifications for all other expenses by email, so I can spot mistakes/fake charges immediately. Not with AVIS.
Apparently they are going to send a refund within 10 days or so. Just the last of series of bad customer experiences with these guys.
The point of the post was to share; but do those things happen with car rentals? Is this normal?
Nope, not normal. Is your rental unusually long?
And have you got your refund yet?
