can someone suggest a place to go quickly during a transit of 7-8 hrs in Hong Kong? I've never been to Hong Kong. Would prefer to do some light shopping.
I have a whole noon in transit with my flight departing from HKIA at 1910 hrs and I am landing at 1055 hrs. Don't wish to spend all of it in the airport.

This is turning off topic. Give the "Hong Kong" forum a visit, there's plenty of ideas there.
It all depends how you want to allocate your time. Just some light shopping and taste of local food? Or do you wish to squeeze in some 'attractions' too?
Take the Airport Express into town to either "Hong Kong" or "Kowloon" station where you could transfer to the local subway train bringing you to endless options.
Since you have 8 hours to spare, and it's your first time in HK, I wouldn't recommend spending it at Tung Chung's outlet mall though. Head out to the city and explore!
