If you want do buy a new car, then you have to keep in mind that certain models have a delivery time which can be several weeks or even months, whereas other models might be available within days.
Mercedes/Daimler Benz has a 3-4 month lead time to schedule production for a B car (too small, too expensive and we're not pretentious enough). Fortunately the lead time for a Citroen is only 18 days if in Paris, 23 in the provinces and a month in select delivery points outside France. No choice in anything (other than minimum guaranteed engine, transmission, trim level/options) however.
