Chances are that by FEB14, the 321's will be in service on the LAX/JFK route. Now, as to which flights during the day would have them, that is yet to be known. I doubt that they will have ALL transcon flights operated by an 321 at that point, but most likely some of them. So it will be a mix of 762 and 321's for some time until all the 321's are in service.
Right now, bit of a rollin' of the dice. But I would pull the trigger if the availability pops up, just in the interest of saving miles.
If you have the miles for an AAnytime ticket, you could book it, and if your original booking has a 762 and there is a 321 flight that fits your schedule, you could change to it. But, that is double the mile expenditure.
As always, YMMV.
Question though, because I want to go to SXM soon, was there a fair amount of SAAver availability for that route?
I think the roll out / retirement is through 2014. Does an A321 seat map appear?
