Thanks much for the confirmation... I figure the PNR won't have any space to enter another airline's FF number to recognize *A elite status.

Having said that, there are actually benefits for *A elite members flying on AC metals. For example, on the 777, row 18 and 19C/19H are preferred seats that AC doesn't charge extra for elite members on *A airlines. Without the ability to add my UA number on the PNR, I guess I'll have to pay up (CAD 100?) in order to sit there.
