EK at LGW seems to have become very strict with cabin baggage recently. Cabin baggage weighed while checking in last week.It was a standard B&R so nothing out of the ordinary .

I've nevery had cabin baggage weighed at LGW before at least in J. I was told that there were strict instructions Re cabin baggage.

My bag was just around 5kg so I was fine but there was another pax in the J queue ahead of me who was told that his cabin bag was 1 or 2 kg over and had to either repack or check the bag in and was very upset. So they seem to very strict nowadays.

In a way its good that they implement their own rules well but I wish they were consistent in implementing it.Sometimes you can't even find space in the hat rack even in J as some people like to carry even the kitchen sink
