OK - for background, I fly United a lot because most of my flying is transborder, and I like the extra legroom and lack of outright contempt for their frequent flyers.

But I need to make a quick run to Winnipeg this week. No problem. Book my AC ticket. Shell out the extra $75 just to get status miles. No problem. Looking forward to seeing the IFE system that the AC Apologists like to rub in the United flyers faces.

I see they have a section called "CBC News." Updated 2x a day, no less! Great, say I. Then I hit it. I start watching... I get confused...

Then a little script pops up along the bottom of the screen: "Originally aired December 19."

Seriously? December 19? This is mid-May. Back to my pre-loaded movies that I brought on board...
