Why don't you try Kerala, India. Nearest airports are Bangalore and Chennai and you can purchase a cheapo Low Cost flight to either Trivandrum (for Kovalam beach area) of Cochin for the backwaters.

Kerala is referred to as gods own country and Keralites are the most sincere and welcoming Indians in India. The tourism industry plays a big part in their local economy and that is why they provide exception service. Added bonus is that Kerala and south India were where the missionaries all landed so they have a excellent grasp of the English language.

It is incredibly hot during that time (30 - 35 pushing 40 celcius) but you should be able to get club flights to India. They only cost 100K.

Cochin has a Le Meridien resort whilst Kovalam Beach area has some 5* options as well.
