Global Entry and Connecting Flight in Ireland

Has anyone with Global Entry gone through US customs preclearance in Dublin after taking a connecting flight? I am considering booking a RT flight JFK--LHR via Dublin on Aer Lingus (much, much cheaper than a direct RT JFK-LHR for my travel dates!), and the return trip (LHR-Dub) has a layover of only about 90 minutes before the departure of the Dub-JFK flight. I can't imagine that they would deliberately book flights without enough time to make connections, but considering that I would be required to do preclearance in Dublin, and I've read some not-so-good stories about the wait, I want to know if this is real possibility, especially since I have GE.
