on the flip side, if i book a flight through expedia...

if they are AA metal and BA flight numbers, do you get the added avios? also, does the flight count as an eligible flight for getting status? Also, if it's an AA flight number but BA flight, is that eligible for status too?

I'm looking at LHR-EWR/SJC-LAX-LHR in J. With BA, SJC-LAX is only bookable at Y and wont give you the earlier flight which has an F cabin, but both AA.com and expedia gives you the F cabin for the same price, so ideally i'd want that option for the more TP's.
