AA's 77W (and even in Y, it's quite nice, despite the 3-4-3) is a no-brainer if you can get MCE (currently available for free to OW elites, though that will be changing eventually). I found the seats comfortable, the IFE/power excellent. Food is so-so, but that's the way it is (and not much different than BA's realistically in Y).
The BA A380's will be a good choice. Avoid the AA 772/767's (not used on the LAX/LHR) run if IFE is important to you.
If MCE access does go of OW elites, it will be a a way off, BA Bronze get free access until the end of the year, but there is no time limit given for those with higher status.
I flew LHR-LAX in MCE Y about six weeks ago, as far as Y goes, it's not too bad really. The seats have good leg room and aren't as cold as an exit row. As always with seats with armrest tables, they are a little narrower, which I did find a bit uncomfortable. I thought the food was OK, the drinks services were frequent, and it's nice to get proper size cans of soft drink rather than the weedy little ones you get on many airlines.
