Think is different than reality, I suggest you either fly some of the top carriers in F like SQ, LH, NH, OZ or read some trip reports before you make any baseless comment.

Keep in mind even just one major difference is there are still many airlines out there using angle flat seat in C compare to in F is a guranteed horizontal flat seat ! OP is flying TPAC 10+ hours flight, I would think anyone would want to sleep comfortably in a horizontal flat seat compare to angle flat seat keep sliding down right ?

So just because it is hard to find F seats so you are not going to look at all ? I am telling you C seats are hard to find as well ! My very first award using miles years ago I was looking for C seat initially, but the agent tell me the dates that I want only have F available, nothing for C or Y no matter 2 weeks before or 2 weeks after !

What do you guys think? I heard ANA lounge at NRT is pretty good and there won't be much headache in booking. I did some research on LH First and it is definitely something I want to try on but it looks like I won't be able to book it til last minute.
If you are booking for yourself only, it is ture there won't be much headache in booking especially for ORD-NRT in NH F, but since you are travelling with your wife, you should know that NH don't and never release 2 F seats at one time, you have to book one and wait for the second seat release in a much later time (there is no method to see when the 2nd F seats will open except checking daily)

Booking 2 seat in NH F is much harder than booking 2 seats in LH F.

Also, NH lounge in NRT is a ok lounge, if you had been to their C lounge, you wouldn't find much difference in their F lounge, their quality is far from LH F lounge in MUC or FRA.
