If we end up adopting AA's eVIPs - those can be used on any flight. On domestic, they actually rebook you into a revenue F bucket when you upgrade with an eVIP (vs. EXP unlimited upgrades), meaning you get the miles and points as if you paid for F... as well as a very good chance of keeping your upgrade in the event of IRROPS.
Well, that's true. However, for purely domestic itineraries (not including HI), what I said was entirely true. I ended up losing my 2+2 certs because of it.
