Not sure why you'd want to spent 5 nights in Lucerne, while the city is pituresque and worth visitng I would suggest to spend a day or two in Lucern and than the rest of the time in the Bernese Oberland area, which is a short train ride from Lucerne.
Which months in Spring? I'm already pretty committed for March and April.

Fall is the least committed time of year for us.

I have a Cat. 6 Marriott hotel certificate for 5 nights and am looking for a place to use it. Lucerne is one of the options. This is an area that has interested me for travel.
