Sadly, good advice from mitchmu. Could be that this is just a glitch and that you still have your upgraded seat. But assume and prepare for the worst. In view of the poor systems and poor training that many UA CSRs have, some might intentionally mislead you (so that they don't have to deal with a problem, which was my case with an award reservation UA screwed up) or unintentionally do so because they don't understand the system well enough.
