I'm not counting a recent trip in F, mind you, where I'd expect every passenger to get a personal welcome regardless of status.

It doesn't make the flight any more or less enjoyable, of course so I can't even put it down as a first world problem!
Most of my flying this year had been either MAN-LON (mostly LHR, some LGW) and LHR-PRG so I've seen a lot of mixed fleet this year I'd say just like the other fleets I've had a mixture of crew ranging from excellent, to just OK (but never had any I'd call bad - I'm lucky like that).

But what seems odd is despite the fact they're both the same fleet, I have a very high percentage on times on the MAN runs where the CSM comes over to say hello, sometimes also offering me another drink or a sandwich on the breakfast runs. On the PRG runs I've never had a greeting at my seat and I've travelled both in CE and ET (always near the front).

I've never had a personal greeting on board on the LGW flights or on domestics LHR-NCL.

I don't mind either way, I know it must feel awkward to try and strike up a random conversation with someone and it probably also makes some passengers feel awkward.

I'm not saying whether the greeting is a good or a bad thing, just surprised how it happens so often to MAN, but never to PRG (so far - I can see it happening now I've said this!)
