thanks for the Video link. Boy what a story. what Alicia went through was just awful and unacceptable. I can’t believe that she was left without any help or support from anyone. this is crazy and scary too.

I noticed few things on this report

1. The incident occurred in Fujairah, the hotel is located in Fujairah, she went to hospital in Fujairah, she went to Court in Fujairah and the prison that she went to is in Fujairah. so everything took place in Fujairah but the report is focused on Dubai not Fujairah. showing pictures from Dubai not Fujairah. Dubai was mentioned many times in this report but Fujairah (where all is took place) was mentioned just once. actually the report starts with“ the dark side of Dubai” not the dark Fujairah but Dubai. Dubai is one of the UAE seven states located on the Arabian ( persian) gulf. Fujairah is another state located on Gulf of Oman ( about 150 km away from Dubai). why focus on Dubai when all this happened in Fujairah? its like a shooting incident happens in Harrisburg, PA and the report says “ the dark side of New York” doesn't make sense to me.

2. the reporter went to Norway to talk to a couple familiar with this incident. he went to Starwood headquarter in USA but made ZERO attempt to talk to the Australian Embassy in UAE or the ministry of foreign affairs in UAE or Australia. why? the first thing that I would like to hear is what the authorities in both countries have to say about this horrific incident. nothing in the report says that the reporter tried to talk to authorities but his request was declined.

3. Alicia lawyer made completely false statement about Alicia case. Alicia is not a muslim so Islamic laws doesn’t apply to her. i am not sure from where she is getting her knowledge from. also rape and adultery are not the same under the Islamic law. I am far from being a religious scholar but this is a very basic knowledge. my advice to Alicia’s lawyer is to get her knowledge from a reputable islamic scholars , books or sites.

4. in the report ( part 1 min 12:30) the report says ”what Alicia couldn’t have known is that the statement was in fact a confession to sex outside marriage....” . at the same the report shows a sentence written in Arabic which is supposed to be part of the legal document Alicia signed. the translation of this statement in english is “ Objects in mirror are closer than they appear” . this is a deception. why do that?

I have a feeling that this is a paid report to trash the rising Dubai and Starwood. if its true then it is sad that they are taking advantage of Alicia case to accomplish their goals.
