Citi pulled the Amazon gift codes from their website because scammers were primarily redeeming ThankYou Points for Amazon codes. And yes, the redemption value when you "shop with your points" on Amazon.com is really awful compared to just getting a $100 gift code for 10K TY points and putting that on your gift card balance at Amazon.

BUT...

You can telephone Thank You at (877) 773-3336 and talk to a live person and they will email you the Amazon codes at the same rate as before (.01/TYP). The email came about 10 minutes after the call concluded.
What is the advantage of redeeming for one class of gift code vs. another?
