Although my experiences with Avis are certainly not all encompassing, and I certainly have not been to every major Avis renting location in the USA, I have been to many of them (although not to any in NYC), and I have NEVER seen a BMW 650i. However, I have seen the BMW 740i on a few occasions, including recently in my home airport/city of FLL. I have asked the CC desk to arrange a BMW 740i for me on my next FLL rental (next week actually), but I will not know whether I will be getting that vehicle until I arrive back home on Wednesday night. We will see whether I will get it at all, and whether it is classed as a luxury or a specialty vehicle.
