I once left a drawer full of clothes in a hotel. When I realized what had happened I called the hotel (about a week later as we were on an extensive road trip and I didn't unpack every night) who put me through to housekeeping who denied finding anything. I called housekeeping the next day again, and the same story. As such I called back and asked to speak to the manager. To my surprise he went down to housekeeping himself and found all of my items on a shelf there! As these were quite expensive clothes I wonder if housekeeping was planning on keeping them for themselves!
