Old thread, but I just completed a 2-night stay at the Marriott Grand Residences Lake Tahoe and wanted to provide my feedback.

- this is a time-share property, so no lounge and one can only get the 500pts as the welcome gift (I am Plat Premier); also don't expect a room upgrade (they clearly told me that because it is a time share and that the owner is getting revenue out of my stay, they cannot give a complimentary upgrade)
- the weekday rates are incredible: I paid $102 night (+tax) for a 1 bedroom apartment (near 750 sq ft) that had 2 queen beds + 1 sofabed (size = queen bed). But note that there is no self-parking and valet parking is $26/day.
- great location, with a lot of food options around the hotel, a supermarket and plenty of stores. It is also walking distance to the Casinos (at state line, in the Nevada side).
- the staff was super-friendly and the hotel is in very good condition. The rooms were great, and it was enjoyable to have 2 sofas, 1 large dining table and a full kitchen

For dinner I recommend the Englewood restaurant (3mn drive) that has an awesome view of the Lake at sunset.

Tahoe is a terrific place, and will definitely come back to that property in the near future
