I am a little confused by the question. The US Air card does not earn hilton points. I assume you mean that if you should be using your hilton card more to earn more hilton points rather than earning us air miles.

First, I would like to know what your travel consists of. What airlines and what hotels do you use? Do you have the regular amex or surpass? What type of spend are you putting on the cards?

After the recent devaluation Hilton points are not worth nearly as much and it takes $40000 of spend to get diamond which I assume is how you plan n getting to diamond. Depending on type of spend that is a lot of spend to waste just for diamond status. With some manufactured spend you could help things along though.

I use the barclay us air mc to book all my travel, mostly because its esasier to track all my corporate spending on one card and then get reimbursed, and because I was interested in getting a fair amount of miles---
but then I realized that as I am trying to get diamond status again for hilton, I have been ignoring my hilton amex, which would give me more hilton points?
opinions?
