Not sure about the exact situation. The FA did say that they were about to use the same aircraft because it should be fine. However, I think decision made by the CX management right inside the check-in counter seemed to indicate that the new aircraft is coming from YVR. The delay is 10 hours. My parents did say it's 8:00 - 8:30p.m. that they departed from YWG, so it made sense for the one from YVR considering it takes roughly 4 hours to get to YWG from YVR.
