The OP might be looking at AA50 / 51, which is not a 763, but rather a 77W. A big difference, and better than the BA 747 even in the SUD.

It turns a three hour trip into five hours, starting with a regional jet followed by a shuttle bus ride from the Eagle terminal to T-4 at LAX. I would take either the MD80 or the 737 non-stop. If you end up in F on the MD-80, the seats on the right side of the plane have more pitch than the left side.
