why is LH's coach food becoming as bad as US airlines on Asian routes?

I just flew LH from JFK to FRA to NRT and back. It was the first time that I felt the food was not edible and looked like prison food. I have had better food on UA TPAC flights. (neither one can come close to what NH, SQ, or other Asian airliens)
