You should be able to add their name to the reservation without problems, but beyond that? Unclear. I don't know what would happen in steps two and three when you add their MR number and delete your name.
With both names, either of you could get replacement key cards from the front desk (security issues if you don't know each other well?) and if there's a problem, it could affect your MR account and your CC on file.
