Obtaining Seats on China Eastern / MU Flight
I, and my 2 young children, have China Eastern flight no. MU578 leaving Shanghai at 5:55 on 5/16 for Wuhan. My Chinese travel agent in the U.S. (My trip originates in Cincinnati, but the tickets couldn't be linked to my American Airline tickets because my children are returning at a different time than I am, and American wanted the outgoing and return tickets to be congruent) couldn't book the seats.

I did a quick Google search, and the information there was that the tickets could only be chosen when departing at the airport. Is that information correct. Thanks for any help that can be given.
