I read about the NTSB investigation into the Swissair incident and thought that neglegance (and malfeasance) on that level should be upgraded to homicide. The company that marketed and installed those devices sounded hauntingly similar to Rockwell Collins, as described in the Vancouver story.
Shame on the regulatory bodies overseeing flight safety!
