An advantage to foam tips over silicone tips, I suppose, as foam won't create an airtight seal.
I have slept (in my own bed) with my Shure SE530s in my ears (and am a side-sleeper, so my head is usually facing sideways with one ear on the pillow) probably hundreds of nights in total and have never had any issues with any of the tips (foam or silicone). Something weird must've happened with the previous poster, as I can't fathom how it could possibly happen.
