I am looking at hotels in GVA for this weekend. I see that the Mövenpick GVA is about $225/night. I was considering trying a priceline bid to get a 5 star for less than that. If they give me the Mövenpick, how inconvenient is it to get into town. I don't mind taking the train/tram. Per the Airport website, access to the city centre seems relatively convenient. It will be arriving from the US, so it wouldn't be a late night "on the town" so to speak. But we will be catching a train to Lyon at some point the next day.
Not sure if you actually want the Mövenpick, or if you just want to know in case it's your only option. Because with a train to Lyon to catch the next day I'd rather stay somewhere in town.
But yes, it's easy to get into town from there. You'll have to walk back a few 100 metres towards the airport to catch line 10. (No need to walk all the way back to the airport.)
