I knew Amadeus had this issue of 'remembering' the original FFP when the reservation was made and had hoped that they fixed the problem.. but apparently not.

My Avios number was on the reservation. At check in in Singapore for my SIN-SYD-AKl flight on BA/QF, I asked to change it to AA's number. The agent put in the info and the BPs printed out with the AA number. But the original FFP - AVIOS was still on the reservation.. as when I pull up Manage my Booking, the return segments shows up.

Anyway , the miles posted to .... my AVIOS account. Nothing went to AA.

The problem is ongoing with AMADEUS GDS's ... so FYI - if you want to change your FFP on one or two segments of your reservation, first ask agent to remove the original FFP on your reservation. End the transaction, then retrieve it and make sure that there is no FFP , and then put in the new FFP. Then print new BPs.

I'll make sure I do that for my return flight.
