7 years ago, AZ refunded a non-cancelable/non refundable ATH-FCO-LRH return ticket when I got into the hospital for an emergency. I had no insurance, and it took them about six months till I got my money. I had been "warned" about the long delay, so I never called/emailed them. Imagine my amazement when they called me to ask where to send the money to.
