This is comparing to American Airlines giving ALL oneworld elites free allowance of checked luggage even on the hand-luggage fares. This is after the oneworld finally agreed that Emeralds members should have one piece of extra luggage allowance.
To me, this is the backwardness of BA and penny-pinch BA customer service culture. Should not to be encouraged.
What part of "hand luggage only" is the slightest bit unclear? There are very competitive fares available for people who would like to check in bags.
