That's a pretty mean comparison....

I find that Candlewoods are acceptable if the property is cheap enough, Mrs RBOAT is not with me, and I am not planning on spending much time at the hotel. For example, there is a CS near PIT. I've stayed there more than once, but I pick it only when it is the cheapest hotel and I am only planning to sleep there alone for a few hours before catching an early morning flight.

I did take Mrs. RBOAT with me to the CS on W. 39th Street in NYC; both of us really enjoyed our 10-day stay there. The format was perfect for how we spent our time in NYC - who cares about a free hotel breakfast when there are real bagels nearby?
