It depends on the way the hotel submits the information.
But, the primary name on the folio is suppose to match the CC payment method (hence, the staying and paying party per the T&C of the hhonors program).
This method probably won't work for the OP, since it's a company paid reservation.
In your instance, was a company paying for the room for an employee? (I am guessing it was personal travel and the paying party did not have an account, so did not care----is this correct?)
When my wife travels, she typically pays with her personal credit card and get reimbursement from her employer later. I guess the folio has to be on her name. But not sure if adding my name would cause any trouble.
