Forgot to mention, it sounds as though the hotel you were staying allowed you to place your name as the staying and paying party (when in reality, you were an additional guest).

It depends on the way the hotel submits the information.
But, the primary name on the folio is suppose to match the CC payment method (hence, the staying and paying party per the T&C of the hhonors program).

This method probably won't work for the OP, since it's a company paid reservation.

In your instance, was a company paying for the room for an employee? (I am guessing it was personal travel and the paying party did not have an account, so did not care----is this correct?)
