It does matter whose name is primary on the reservation. A stay in someone else's name (even if you are an additional guest) will not post to your account.
Don't believe me, give it a try to test it out. Pretty simple test. Put a reservation in the spouses name as primary and see if it post to your account when the spouse's name is on the folio.
It sounds certain the OP's wife will have to have to reservation in her name. Highly unlikely her company will pay for a stay in her husbands (non employee) name.
