(E.G. fly SN as IB, no AA miles; fly FJ or TN as QF, no AA miles. Iirc, one could earn AA miles on CX operated by VN between HKG and SGN at one time.)
I am flying today on an Air China flight from HK to Beijing in codeshare with CX. i believe i cannot get AA miles as there is no agreement between AA and Air China. At the checkin, i out my us airways dividend miles that i barely use, i might get those miles back with the merger. Does it make sense?
Thanks
