Any experience of the GC-E complimentary upgrades and free companion flights ?
My experience:

Booked a ticket to JFK with EI in economy and then used the "Free Companion" ticket.

I then upgraded both mine and the companion ticket to J using the 4 upgrades.

Easiest process I've ever done.
