Just stayed in the US Grant last week and absolutely loved it. The staff took great care of my wife an I, the bar was fantastic, and the concierge was INCREDIBLY helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
I'd suggest not even opening the minibar unless you intend to buy. Ours was a bit sensitive and just opening the door apparently added a charge to my folio after checkout.
One odd bit, half the linens/towels in our room were branded for St. Regis.
